People

We believe that churches are people and the function of their facilities (though they may inspire) are simply vessels within which the church body gathers for worship, fellowship and growth.

“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands.” Acts 17:24

Process

We believe that because the church is the people, we must strive in our endeavors to reach consensus by involving the Body of Christ in decision making to the greatest extent possible.

“Where no counsel is, the people fall. But in the multitude of counselors, there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14

Product

We believe the facility should fulfill the mission of the church body, should inspire people to a closer relationship with God and yet not encumber the people so heavily that the mission cannot be fulfilled.

“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, saying, ‘This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.’” Luke 14: 28-30

Prayer

We believe that in all things, Christ is the foundation of all of our endeavors.

“…but each one should be careful how he builds, for man cannot lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:10-11
