Parsonage & Conference Facility / Guest House for Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cameroon (EELC)

Yaounde, Cameroon

perspective

The largest local congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cameroon (EELC) in Yaounde plans to build a Parsonage and a Conference Center / Guest House on its current campus. As the congregation conducts many workshops and seminars advancing the Gospel and enhancing the lives of persons living in the capital city, the EELC wanted a Parsonage so ministerial care was on site. In addition, having a Conference Center and Guest House in Yaounde, the campus will have greater use as a hub of Christian training.

Both buildings are close to the existing church as shown in the site below. The Conference Center / Guest House will have parking on the ground floor. The first floor will contain a large and small conference room, plus a library / media room and offices for Women’s and Youth workers. The upper two floors will have a dining space with kitchen as well as 10 comfortable self-contained Double Guest Rooms and two 2-Bedroom Flats/Apartments.

The EELC will be contributing the land as well as 20% of the construction cost as a further self-help portion of the project. In return for your tax deductible financial support (and the relationship you will establish with the project holder), you will receive quarterly updates on the progress and completion of the project.
