Phase I of an Educational Campus near Yaounde, Cameroon

Yaounde, Cameroon

Site perspective

A Lutheran Pastor with a business background and a PhD in Education would like to help fellow Cameroonians have the opportunity to be educated in an environment where Christian ethics are a foundation and basis for everything that is done. The Educational Campus is planned to be developed near Yaounde, Cameroon and will be an English speaking educational facility in otherwise mostly French speaking country.

The project will initially be a Secondary School which will only accept boarding students. It is planned to be a school whose main focus will be the quality of students and staff, and therefore also the quality of teaching and learning. Class sizes will be maximum 30 students instead of the traditional 40 student size, which is common in Africa. Plans are to teach both art and sciences, further providing a well-rounded education.

Plans for the Secondary School shown on the plans below are for the initial phase. Proposed is an Administration Building, a 5 Classroom Block, Dining Hall with Kitchen and two dorms for separate genders. Students in this initial phase will be 52 of each gender.

After the initial Secondary School is built and proven successful, a future Business College and Primary School is planned.
